PQC Awarded 2019 8(a) Graduate of the Year!
Posted: April 8, 2019
PQC is pleased to announce that the U.S. Small Business Administration has recognized us as the national 8(a) Graduate of the Year!
This award recognizes our hard work as a member of the 8(a) Program as well as our persistent growth following our graduation from the program. The 8(a) Business Development Program assists small disadvantaged businesses over a 9-year period, helping them socially and economically to gain a foothold in the government contracting world. PQC graduated from the program in 2017, and we have successfully sustained our government contracting work while also diversifying into Vocational Rehabilitation programs and commercial IT services.
Following our recognition, PQC President and CEO Stacey Smith said, “This is truly an honor to begin with, but to be recognized for this from the U.S. Small Business Administration is even more humbling. We had to compete with thousands of small businesses throughout the country, but that just goes to show that some great things are happening in the Midwest and here at PQC. It also reflects on the people who have helped get us here. Over the past 15 years, PQC has had team members that have come and gone, contracts that started and moved elsewhere, or projects that continue on. We want to quickly just take a minute to say, ‘Thank you!’ to all of those team members, program and contract staff, and supporting mentors who have been a part of that excellence and helped us succeed.”
